| Product Name | Truncated T4 RNA Ligase 2 KQ Double Mutant for Pre-Adenylated Adapter Ligation (200 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0387 |
| Description | This truncated form of T4 RNA Ligase 2 carries the R55K and K227Q double mutation, which preserves ligation efficiency while strongly suppressing non-specific RNA joining events such as RNA concatenation and self circularisation. The enzyme specifically attaches a 5 prime pre-adenylated DNA or RNA adapter to the 3 prime hydroxyl of an RNA molecule, so no ATP is needed in the reaction, only the pre-adenylated adapter. This property makes it the standard choice for ligating adapters onto small RNAs such as miRNA when building small RNA cDNA libraries. |
