| Product Name | Thermostable ATP-Dependent DNA Ligase (40 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0503 |
| Description | A high temperature DNA ligase that joins the 5 prime phosphate and 3 prime hydroxyl ends of two oligonucleotides hybridised in adjacent positions on the same complementary target strand. Ligation proceeds only when both oligonucleotides are perfectly paired with the target and leave no gap between them, so single base substitutions can be detected directly in ligase detection reaction and ligase chain reaction formats. Using ATP as cofactor, the enzyme remains active across a broad 45 to 70°C range, which supports ligation at elevated temperatures and mutation introduction by incorporation of phosphorylated oligonucleotides during PCR amplification. |
| Intended Use | Allele-specific gene detection by ligase chain and ligase detection reactions, high temperature ligation and PCR-based mutagenesis |
