Product Name Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase for Homopolymer Tailing (20 U/uL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0430
Description Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase is a template independent DNA polymerase that adds deoxynucleotides repetitively to the 3 prime hydroxyl ends of oligonucleotides and single or double stranded DNA, and reactions require a primer of at least three bases. On RNA templates performance depends strictly on the acceptor RNA 3 prime terminal structure and the nucleotide supplied, and activity on RNA is generally lower than on DNA. Common uses include homopolymer tailing, tailing reactions for 5-RACE rapid amplification of cDNA ends, molecular cloning support and detection of DNA break ends in apoptosis research.
