| Product Name | T7 RNA Polymerase for In Vitro Transcription (250 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0356 |
| Description | Expressed recombinantly in E. coli, this phage T7 RNA polymerase synthesises RNA complementary to the strand downstream of a T7 promoter when supplied with NTPs and a double-stranded DNA template. Linear plasmids and PCR products, whether blunt-ended or carrying a 5-prime overhang, work directly as templates. Quality control keeps host protein below 50 ppm, host nucleic acid below 10 fg per unit and RNase activity negative, and activity is defined by incorporation of radiolabelled GMP into acid-insoluble material at 37 °C. The enzyme ships as a 250 U/uL liquid in a Tris-based storage buffer with 50% glycerol. |
| Intended Use | In vitro transcription of RNA from T7-promoter templates for research-scale mRNA synthesis and related molecular biology applications. |
| Specificity | Host protein below 50 ppm; host nucleic acid below 10 fg/U; RNase residue negative; optimum temperature 37 °C |
| Storage Conditions | -25 °C to -15 °C |
