| Product Name | T7 DNA Ligase, Cohesive-End Specific (3000 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0592 |
| Description | From bacteriophage T7, T7 DNA Ligase is an ATP-dependent double-stranded DNA ligase that catalyses formation of a phosphodiester bond between adjacent 5 prime phosphate and 3 prime hydroxyl groups. Compared with T4 and T3 DNA Ligase, T7 DNA Ligase efficiently joins only cohesive ends and nicks and cannot carry out blunt-end ligation, which makes it the enzyme of choice when blunt and cohesive ends coexist and only the cohesive ends should be joined. |
| Intended Use | Cohesive-end and nick ligation where blunt-end joining must be avoided |
| Principle / Technology | ATP-dependent phosphodiester bond formation between adjacent 5 prime phosphate and 3 prime hydroxyl groups |
