Product Name T4 RNA Ligase 2 Truncated K227Q Mutant for Small RNA Adapter Ligation (200 U/uL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0343
Description An MBP-fusion truncated mutant of T4 RNA ligase 2, the K227Q substitution strongly reduces non-specific ligation between RNA molecules, suppressing circularisation and concatemer formation. The enzyme specifically joins a 5′ preadenylated DNA or RNA adapter to the 3′ hydroxyl of RNA without requiring ATP, which makes it the standard choice for ligating adapters onto small RNAs during cDNA library construction.
Intended Use Ligation of 5′ preadenylated adapters to small RNA for cDNA library construction; small RNA sequencing workflows.
Specificity Free of detectable exonuclease, nickase, RNase and phosphatase contamination; requires 5′ preadenylated adapters and no ATP
Storage Conditions -25 °C to -15 °C
Shelf Life 24 months
