| Product Name | T4 Gene 32 Protein, gp32 (5 ug/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0514 |
| Description | The product of T4 phage gene 32 is a single-stranded DNA binding protein essential for T4 phage DNA replication and repair. It binds cooperatively to transiently formed single-stranded regions and stabilises them, playing a structural role in T4 DNA replication. Beyond its native function it is widely used to stabilise and label single-stranded DNA regions for observation of intracellular DNA structures by electron microscopy, and reported applications include promoting restriction endonuclease digestion, improving the yield and efficiency of reverse transcription in RT-PCR, enhancing T4 DNA polymerase activity and increasing PCR yield. |
