| Description | A process-optimised T4 DNA ligase that joins the 5'-phosphate and 3'-hydroxyl ends of cohesive or blunt double-stranded DNA or RNA through a phosphodiester bond, using ATP as cofactor, and also seals single-strand nicks in duplex DNA, duplex RNA and DNA/RNA hybrids. The preparation carries very low residue levels, high stability and high ligation efficiency with minimal adapter dimer carryover, and it retains more than 60% activity after four hours at 42 °C. |
