| Product Name | T3 DNA Ligase (3000 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0502 |
| Description | An ATP dependent double stranded DNA ligase from bacteriophage T3 that efficiently joins adjacent 5 prime phosphate and 3 prime hydroxyl ends in duplex DNA, with ligation of A/T overhangs more efficient than that of C/G ends. It ligates cohesive and blunt ended molecules, the latter improved by PEG 6000, and repairs nicks in double stranded DNA or in DNA-RNA hybrid duplexes where the complete strand is DNA and the nicked strand may present DNA-DNA, DNA-RNA, RNA-DNA or RNA-RNA junctions. These properties allow generation of DNA-RNA and RNA-DNA fusion nucleic acids and template-dependent RNA ligation into longer RNA fragments for antisense oligonucleotide synthesis. The enzyme also tolerates higher NaCl concentrations than T4 DNA Ligase. |
| Intended Use | Molecular cloning, adapter ligation, linear DNA circularisation, nick repair, DNA-RNA fusion nucleic acids and antisense oligonucleotide synthesis |
