| Description |
Streptavidin (SA) is also known as streptokinase, a homotetrameric protein secreted by Streptomyces Avidinii, with a molecular weight of approximately 65 kDa. It can be conjugated with bioactive substances such as fluorescein, colloidal gold, proteases, and fluorescent proteins, as well as with solid-phase carriers such as magnetic beads, microspheres, and microplates. It is widely used in biotechnological fields such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunochromatography, protein purification, luminescence diagnosis, and biochips. |
| Application |
1. Applications in molecular biology and biotechnology; 2. Amplification of detection signals in immunology; 3. Streptavidin is primarily used in immunological microplates, immunochromatographic nitrocellulose membranes, gene chips, and for the rapid immobilization of biotinylated antigens, antibodies, nucleic acids, and other substances; 4. Streptavidin can also be used for coupling NHS magnetic beads and resin microspheres, serving applications such as luminescent diagnostics, separation of biotinylated substances, and magnetic test strip immunochromatography. |
