Product Name 96-Well Cell Culture Plate, TC-Treated, Sterile
Catalog No. IGM-HMM-0047
Description Tissue culture-treated polystyrene 96-well plate with hydrophilic modified surface for optimal adherent cell attachment and growth. Sterilized by gamma irradiation. Flat bottom with lid and condensation rings to minimize evaporation and contamination risk.
Intended Use Adherent mammalian cell culture for cytotoxicity assays, proliferation studies, transfection optimization, cell-based ELISA, and high-content screening in 96-well microplate format.
Principle / Technology Vacuum gas plasma treatment introduces oxygen-containing functional groups (hydroxyl, carboxyl, carbonyl) to polystyrene surface, creating negatively charged hydrophilic surface at physiological pH. This modified surface facilitates adsorption of cell adhesion proteins from serum-containing media and promotes integrin-mediated cell attachment.
Detection Method Cell attachment efficiency with reference cell line (e.g., HeLa, HEK293); sterility to USP <71>; surface contact angle measurement; endotoxin by LAL assay
Sample Type Adherent mammalian cell lines, primary cells with extracellular matrix pre-coating, stem cells on feeder or matrix protein layers
Performance Range / Specifications Cell attachment >90% within 2 hours for standard cell lines; well-to-well growth uniformity <10% CV; evaporation <2% over 7-day culture in humidified incubator
Sensitivity / LOD Single-cell seeding and clonal expansion possible; supports cell densities from 100 to 50,000 cells per well
Specificity Surface treatment validated with epithelial, fibroblast, endothelial, and tumor cell lines; optimal for serum-containing culture conditions
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Seed cells in 100-200 uL culture medium; incubate at 37 C, 5% CO2, >95% humidity; monitor confluence and passage or assay at desired density.
Components / Formulation TC-treated crystal polystyrene plate body, polystyrene lid with condensation rings, alphanumeric well marking, individually wrapped with medical-grade Tyvek and film
Storage Conditions 15-30 C; store flat in original packaging to maintain sterility; protect from UV and direct sunlight
Shelf Life 36 months from sterilization date
Package Specifications 1 plate per individually sealed pouch; 50-100 plates per case; bulk pack 20 plates with 20 lids
Product Form Flat-bottom 96-well plate with lid, tissue culture treated, sterile, individually wrapped
Quality Control Surface contact angle 45-55 degrees (hydrophilic); cell attachment >90% in QC test; sterility per ISO 11137; endotoxin <0.01 EU/mL; cytotoxicity negative (USP <87>)
Key Features TC-treated for optimal cell attachment; individually wrapped for aseptic handling; condensation-ring lid design; flat bottom for microscopic imaging; alphanumeric well identification
Purity Sterile (SAL 10^-6); endotoxin <0.01 EU/mL; cytotoxicity tested negative (ISO 10993-5); non-pyrogenic
