Product Name Disposable Serological Pipette, 10 mL, Sterile, Individually Wrapped
Catalog No. IGM-HMM-0057
Description Sterile 10 mL disposable serological pipette with bold orange color-coded printing for rapid volume identification. Wide-bore design reduces shear stress on cells during pipetting. Individually wrapped for maintenance of sterility until point of use.
Intended Use Large-volume sterile transfer of tissue culture media, cell suspensions, biological reagents, and clinical samples using electronic or manual pipette controllers in biosafety cabinets and laboratory benches.
Principle / Technology Calibrated TD (to deliver) with blow-out for total content delivery. Orange color code follows international laboratory convention for 10 mL pipettes. Cotton plug barrier at mouthpiece end protects pipette controller from contamination. Wide bore reduces cell shearing during rapid aspiration.
Detection Method Gravimetric volume accuracy per ISO 12771; sterility to ISO 11137; graduation legibility and accuracy inspection; plug integrity verification
Sample Type Cell culture media (up to 10 mL transfers), cell suspensions, FBS aliquots, antibiotic solutions, buffer preparations, bacterial culture inoculation
Performance Range / Specifications Volume accuracy +/- 1.0% at 10 mL; graduation resolution 0.1 mL; total length approximately 340 mm; maximum aspiration time <5 seconds for 10 mL aqueous solution
Sensitivity / LOD Endotoxin <0.1 EU/pipette; protein adsorption <1 ug/cm2 (non-treated polystyrene); no cell cytotoxicity detected
Specificity No leachable compounds affecting cell growth over 7-day culture; PCR inhibitor-free; DNase/RNase-free certified
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Open peel pouch from mouthpiece end in biosafety cabinet; attach to pipette controller; immerse tip in liquid; aspirate to desired graduation; dispense with smooth plunger control; discard after single use.
Components / Formulation Crystal polystyrene barrel, hydrophobic barrier plug (cotton or synthetic fiber), medical-grade peel pouch (paper-Tyvek or paper-film laminate), orange color-coding ink
Storage Conditions 15-30 C, dry conditions; store horizontally to prevent pipette warping and graduation distortion
Shelf Life 60 months from sterilization date
Package Specifications 50 pipettes individually wrapped per dispensing box; 200 pipettes per case; bulk non-wrapped option 500 per bag
Product Form 10 mL serological pipette, individually wrapped in sterile peel pouch, color-coded orange, plugged
Quality Control Lot gravimetric calibration; sterility bioindicators per batch; graduation print alignment check; plug position and integrity 100% inspection; endotoxin release per batch
Key Features Individually wrapped for aseptic technique; wide bore for gentle cell handling; orange color code for quick identification; bidirectional graduations with negative scale; plugged for contamination control
Purity Sterile (SAL 10^-6); endotoxin tested; non-cytotoxic; DNase/RNase-free; non-pyrogenic; human DNA-free

Source / Origin Crystal polystyrene from certified medical-grade resin; manufactured in ISO 13485 certified cleanroom facility
pH Range / Optimal pH Compatible with pH 2-10 for aqueous solutions; avoid prolonged exposure to concentrated acids, bases, and organic solvents
Shipping Conditions Ambient; pipettes packed in individual peel pouches and secured in partitioned corrugated boxes
Expiration Date / Stability 5 years from sterilization; sterility maintained in intact individual wrap; performance validated throughout shelf life
Regulatory / Compliance ISO 13485:2016; CE marked per IVD Directive 98/79/EC; ISO 11137 sterilization; USP Class VI biological reactivity; FDA registered
Compatibility Compatible with all standard electronic and manual pipette controllers; suitable for use with tissue culture media, serum, trypsin, PBS, antibiotics, and standard biochemical solutions
Recommended Buffer System Compatible with DMEM, RPMI 1640, MEM Alpha, IMDM, and all standard cell culture media formulations; compatible with balanced salt solutions and enzyme solutions (trypsin, accutase)
Application Notes / Precautions Use separate pipette for each reagent to prevent cross-contamination; do not exceed nominal volume; for viscous liquids (serum, glycerol solutions), aspirate slowly and allow complete drainage; store wrapped pipettes in original dispensing box with peel-pouch opening facing downward in biosafety cabinet
Batch-to-Batch Consistency Inner diameter controlled within +/- 0.2 mm across production lots; volume calibration accuracy maintained per ISO 12771; sterility validation per ISO 11137 batch release criteria
