| Product Name | SgrAI Restriction Endonuclease (10 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0533 |
| Description | From Streptomyces griseus and purified after recombinant expression in E. coli, SgrAI specifically recognises and cuts 5 prime CR^CCGGYG 3 prime. Although it is not part of the rapid restriction series, the enzyme is compatible with the shared rapid series buffer and can be used for double digestion alongside those enzymes. Owing to its particular behaviour, SgrAI requires two or more recognition sites for efficient cutting, and cleavage of single site substrates is markedly less efficient. CpG, EcoKI and EcoBI methylation overlapping the site block cleavage. |
| Intended Use | Molecular cloning and double digestion together with rapid series enzymes |
| Principle / Technology | Recognition and cleavage of 5 prime CR^CCGGYG 3 prime with efficient cutting only on multi-site substrates |
| Sample Type | Double stranded DNA containing two or more CRCCGGYG sites |
| Specificity | Requires two or more recognition sites for efficient cutting; CpG, EcoKI and EcoBI methylation block cleavage |
