Product Name Salt-Tolerant T4 DNA Ligase for High-Salt Ligation Conditions (400 U/uL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0344
Description This mutant of T4 DNA ligase catalyses phosphodiester bond formation between adjacent 5′ phosphate and 3′ hydroxyl termini in double-stranded DNA or RNA, with ATP as cofactor. Compared with the wild-type enzyme it tolerates salt concentrations up to 300 mM, and it joins blunt and cohesive ends while also repairing single-strand nicks in double-stranded DNA and some DNA/RNA hybrids.
Intended Use Adapter ligation during NGS library construction; molecular cloning with blunt or cohesive ends; nick repair in double-stranded DNA and DNA/RNA hybrids.
Specificity Salt tolerance up to 300 mM; ATP-dependent activity
Storage Conditions -25 °C to -15 °C
Shelf Life 24 months
