| Description | Cutting 5 prime G^TCGAC 3 prime to generate cohesive ends compatible with XhoI overhangs, this rapid recombinant endonuclease is a mainstay of cloning cassette design and general molecular cloning. It digests plasmid DNA, PCR products and genomic DNA within 5 to 15 minutes, is supplied at 20 U/uL, and operates in the common rapid series buffer at 37°C with heat inactivation at 80°C for 20 minutes. CpG methylation fully overlapping the site blocks cleavage, and no alternative named isoschizomers are documented. |
