| Product Name | RNase T1 (500 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0490 |
| Description | A ribonuclease from Aspergillus oryzae, RNase T1 cuts single stranded RNA specifically after guanine ribonucleotides to give products with 3 prime phosphate ends. The enzyme forms a nucleoside 2 prime, 3 prime cyclic phosphate intermediate as it hydrolyses the phosphodiester bond between a 3 prime guanosine residue and the 5 prime hydroxyl of the neighbouring nucleotide, releasing oligonucleotides with terminal 3 prime GMP as well as 3 prime GMP itself. Supplied at 500 U/uL, one unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that produces a change in A260 of 1.0 in 37°C pH 7.5 buffer with yeast RNA as substrate. |
| Intended Use | Sequence specific cleavage of single stranded RNA after guanine residues |
| Principle / Technology | Cleavage of single stranded RNA after guanine ribonucleotides via a 2 prime, 3 prime cyclic phosphate intermediate, giving 3 prime phosphate ends |
| Sample Type | Single stranded RNA |
| Specificity | Cuts specifically after guanine ribonucleotides in single stranded RNA |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Incubate with the RNA substrate at 37°C in pH 7.5 buffer; one unit gives an A260 change of 1.0 with yeast RNA |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
