Product Name RNase H for RNA Cleavage in Hybrid Duplexes (60 U/uL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0363
Description RNase H (ribonuclease H) is an endoribonuclease that specifically hydrolyses phosphodiester bonds of the RNA strand in DNA/RNA hybrid duplexes, and does not digest single-stranded or double-stranded DNA or RNA. Typical applications include removal of mRNA before second-strand cDNA synthesis, removal of RNA after first-strand synthesis in RT-PCR and RT-qPCR, removal of poly(A) tails after Oligo(dT) hybridisation to mRNA, and site-specific RNA cleavage.
Intended Use mRNA removal before second-strand cDNA synthesis; RNA removal after first-strand cDNA in RT-PCR and RT-qPCR; poly(A) removal after Oligo(dT) hybridisation; site-specific RNA cleavage
Principle / Technology Endoribonucleolytic cleavage of the RNA strand within DNA/RNA hybrids, leaving the DNA strand intact
Sample Type RNA or cDNA synthesis reaction mixtures
Specificity Hydrolyses RNA in DNA/RNA hybrid duplexes only; no activity on single-stranded or double-stranded DNA or RNA
