| Product Name | Recombinant Ten-Eleven Translocation 2 Dioxygenase (TET2) for Methylation Sequencing |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0342 |
| Description | This engineered, recombinantly expressed Fe2+ and α-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase oxidises 5-methylcytosine stepwise to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine, 5-formylcytosine and finally 5-carboxylcytosine. After conversion of 5-carboxylcytosine to uracil by chemical or enzymatic means, PCR reads uracil as thymine, so methylation sites are identified at single-base resolution with high accuracy. |
| Intended Use | Construction of DNA methylation sequencing libraries; single-base resolution identification of DNA methylation sites by oxidative conversion of 5-methylcytosine. |
| Detection Method | 5-methylcytosine (5mC) in DNA |
| Storage Conditions | -25 °C to -15 °C |
| Shelf Life | 12 months |
| Package Specifications | 250 ug, 750 ug and 3 mg packs |
| Source / Origin | Engineered TET enzyme variant, recombinantly expressed |
| Compatibility | Fe2+ and α-ketoglutarate (α-KG) dependent reaction chemistry |
| Model Type | Fe2+/α-KG dependent dioxygenase |
For in vitro diagnostic use.
