| Product Name | Recombinant T4 Lysozyme (1 mg/mL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0556 |
| Description | A recombinant muramidase from bacteriophage T4 expressed in E. coli, T4 Lysozyme disrupts bacterial cell walls by hydrolysing the beta-1,4 bonds between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine in the peptidoglycan of gram negative and some gram positive bacteria. Cell lysis releases intracellular contents and supports extraction of soluble proteins, membrane proteins, DNA, RNA and metabolites. The preparation is at least 95% pure, carries no nickase or RNase residue, is free of animal-derived components and lyses at least 30 g of cells per mg of enzyme. |
| Intended Use | Bacterial lysis for extraction of soluble proteins, membrane proteins, DNA, RNA and metabolites |
