| Product Name | Recombinant RNase A, Yeast Expressed, DNase-Free (10 mg/mL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0552 |
| Description | Ribonuclease A engineered by protein technology from the bovine pancreas gene and obtained through yeast expression and purification, this recombinant RNase A carries none of the bacterial endotoxin associated with prokaryotic expression systems. Functionally it is a non-specific endoribonuclease that hydrolyses the phosphodiester bond between the 5 prime ribose of a nucleotide and the 3 prime phosphate of the adjacent pyrimidine, so the resulting 2 prime, 3 prime cyclic phosphate resolves to the corresponding 3 prime nucleotide phosphate, and it degrades single stranded RNA specifically at cytosine and uracil residues with highest effect on single stranded substrates. The enzyme is very stable, and the preparation is free of endonuclease and exonuclease contamination and free of protease residue, which suits removal of RNA contamination from DNA or protein samples. |
