Product Name Recombinant DNase I, Yeast Expressed, RNase-Free
Catalog No. IVDRM-0482
Description Deoxyribonuclease I is an endonuclease that digests single or double stranded DNA by hydrolysing phosphodiester bonds to release monodeoxyribonucleotides and oligodeoxyribonucleotides carrying 5 prime phosphate and 3 prime hydroxyl groups. Its working pH range is 7 to 8, activity depends on calcium ions and can be stimulated by divalent metals such as cobalt, manganese and zinc, and the pattern of cutting shifts with the metal present, from random nicking of duplex DNA in the presence of magnesium to same site double strand cutting that leaves blunt or one to two nucleotide protruding ends when manganese is used. Produced in a yeast expression system and free of RNase contamination, it removes DNA from RNA samples and improves RNA purity during extraction.
