| Product Name | Recombinant DNase I, Yeast Expressed, RNase-Free (5 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0404 |
| Description | This deoxyribonuclease I is recombinantly expressed in yeast and hydrolyses phosphodiester bonds in single and double stranded DNA to yield oligodeoxynucleotides carrying 5 prime phosphate and 3 prime hydroxyl groups. Optimal activity lies at pH 7 to 8 and depends on calcium ions, with further activation by divalent cations such as cobalt, manganese and zinc. In the presence of magnesium the enzyme attacks double stranded DNA at random sites, while manganese directs cutting at the same position to produce blunt or 1 to 2 nucleotide overhanging ends. The preparation is verified free of RNase and suits treatment of various RNA samples to remove genomic DNA contamination. |
| Intended Use | Removal of genomic DNA contamination during RNA extraction and processing of RNA samples |
