| Product Name | phi29 DNA Polymerase for MDA and Rolling Circle Amplification (10 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0422 |
| Description | Originally from a Bacillus subtilis phage and reworked through genetic engineering, phi29 DNA Polymerase combines exceptional strand displacement with high processivity and can synthesise DNA fragments up to 70 kb. Its 3 prime to 5 prime proofreading exonuclease activity gives fidelity above nearly all other DNA polymerases, and pg level template inputs are amplified effectively, with 100 ng of template yielding up to 2 ug/uL product. Primers with 3 prime terminal modifications are recommended to guard against proofreading degradation. Typical applications span multiple displacement amplification, rolling circle amplification, whole genome amplification and SNP genotyping. |
