Product Name Novel Trinder's Reagents Series High Water-Soluble Chromogenic Substrates >=99% Purity 10 g Bottle
Catalog No. IGM-HMM-0163
Description Novel Trinder's reagents are highly water-soluble aniline derivatives widely used in clinical diagnostics and biochemical assays. In the presence of hydrogen peroxide and peroxidase, these reagents undergo oxidative coupling with 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AA) or 3-methylbenzothiazolinone-2-hydrazone (MBTH) to form stable purple or blue dyes. They offer advantages over conventional chromogenic reagents including higher water solubility, enhanced color sensitivity, and improved stability. The series includes TOOS (CAS 82692-93-1), TOPS (CAS 40567-80-4), DAOS, MAOS, ALPS, ADOS, MADB, and HDAOS, each optimized for specific diagnostic applications such as glucose detection, glycated albumin measurement, uric acid determination, and creatinine testing.
Intended Use For use as chromogenic substrates in clinical diagnostic assays and biochemical tests requiring hydrogen peroxide detection via peroxidase-catalyzed oxidative coupling.
Principle / Technology Oxidative coupling chromogenic reaction: Trinder's reagents react with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of peroxidase and a coupling agent (4-AA or MBTH) to produce stable colored dyes proportional to substrate concentration.
Detection Method Colorimetric detection measuring dye absorbance
