| Product Name | MazF RNA Endonuclease (20 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0542 |
| Description | The toxin component of the E. coli toxin-antitoxin system, MazF is an endoribonuclease that specifically cuts single stranded RNA immediately before ACA sequences and cannot cut double stranded RNA, double stranded DNA or single stranded DNA. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that fully degrades 1 pmol of a standard ROX-labelled RNA substrate in 10 minutes at 37°C and pH 7.5, and this specificity supports RNA fragment cutting workflows in molecular cloning. |
| Intended Use | Specific cleavage of single stranded RNA at ACA sequences for molecular cloning workflows |
| Principle / Technology | Endoribonucleolytic cleavage of single stranded RNA immediately upstream of ACA sequences |
| Sample Type | Single stranded RNA containing ACA sequences |
| Specificity | Cuts single stranded RNA only before ACA sequences; no activity on double stranded RNA, double stranded DNA or single stranded DNA |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Incubate with the RNA substrate at 37°C in pH 7.5 buffer |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
| Shelf Life | 2 years |
| Package Specifications | 1000 U |
| Key Features | Toxin-antitoxin derived specificity for ACA sites; RNA-only activity |
| Concentration | 20 U/uL |
| Readouts / Downstream Assays | Cleavage pattern of the RNA substrate |
For in vitro diagnostic use.
