Product Name LwaCas13a Nuclease for RNA Targeting (10 uM)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0589
Description An RNA-guided RNA endonuclease from Leptotrichia wadei, LwaCas13a depends on RNA-mediated recognition, so that guided by a crRNA and given a suitable protospacer flanking site it specifically recognises and cuts target single-stranded RNA. The enzyme also carries a target ssRNA-dependent trans, or collateral, cleavage activity that is triggered only once LwaCas13a, crRNA and target ssRNA form a ternary complex. Once activated it not only cuts the target RNA efficiently but also degrades any single-stranded RNA in the reaction, and this signal amplification behaviour underpins rapid nucleic acid detection kits in molecular diagnostics. The untagged 138.5 kDa protein is supplied at 10 uM with at least 95% purity in a Tris-HCl, NaCl, DTT, EDTA and glycerol buffer at pH 8.
