| Product Name | Klenow Fragment of DNA Polymerase I (5 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0333 |
| Description | Produced by proteolytic treatment of E. coli DNA polymerase I, the Klenow fragment keeps the 5′ to 3′ polymerase and 3′ to 5′ exonuclease activities while losing the 5′ to 3′ exonuclease domain. These properties make it a workhorse for filling or polishing DNA ends, labelling DNA with random primers and synthesising the second strand of cDNA. |
| Intended Use | DNA end polishing for NGS library construction; second-strand cDNA synthesis; random-primer DNA labelling; dideoxy (Sanger) DNA sequencing. |
| Storage Conditions | -25 °C to -15 °C |
| Shelf Life | 24 months |
| Package Specifications | 200 U and 1000 U packs |
| Concentration | 5 U/uL |
| Activity / Unit Definition | 5′→3′ DNA polymerase activity; 3′→5′ exonuclease activity; 5′→3′ exonuclease activity absent |
| Source / Origin | Proteolytic fragment of E. coli DNA polymerase I |
