| Product Name | HotStart Super Specific Taq DNA Polymerase for ARMS and SNP Genotyping (5 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0571 |
| Description | A hot-start DNA polymerase blocked with a proprietary antibody for use in the amplification refractory mutation system and in highly specific PCR amplification. The antibody blocks the 5 prime to 3 prime polymerase activity so that non-specific amplification during reaction setup and heating is suppressed, and heating for 30 seconds at the pre-denaturation temperature fully inactivates the antibody and releases the polymerase activity, giving the PCR system high amplification efficiency, specificity and sensitivity. |
| Intended Use | ARMS-PCR mutation detection and SNP genotyping with high specificity amplification |
| Principle / Technology | Antibody blocked hot-start Taq polymerase released after 30 seconds of pre-denaturation heating |
| Sample Type | Genomic DNA templates for allele-specific amplification |
| Specificity | Single antibody blocking of polymerase activity; tailored to ARMS allele discrimination |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Assemble the ARMS reaction and activate with 30 seconds of pre-denaturation heating before cycling |
