| Product Name | HotStart Direct Taq DNA Polymerase for Blood and Swab Samples (5 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0562 |
| Description | A hot-start DNA polymerase that tolerates blood and other PCR inhibitors, Direct Taq uses antibody blocking with good amplification sensitivity and specificity. Heating for 30 seconds at the pre-denaturation temperature fully inactivates the antibody and releases the DNA polymerase activity, and the hot-start behaviour suppresses amplification caused by non-specific primer annealing. The enzyme tolerates EDTA, sodium citrate and 0.5% whole blood in the reaction, and a qPCR mix prepared with it stays stable for 7 days at both 4°C and 37°C, which supports direct amplification from blood and swab samples in IVD molecular diagnostic PCR and qPCR assays. |
