| Product Name | HiFi Taq DNA Ligase, Mutant High-Fidelity Form |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0591 |
| Description | A mutant form of Taq DNA Ligase with higher ligation efficiency and fidelity than the wild-type enzyme while keeping its basic function, this thermostable ligase is active between 37 and 75°C. Using NAD+ as cofactor it catalyses formation of a phosphodiester bond between the 5 prime phosphate and the 3 prime hydroxyl of adjacent oligonucleotides on the same complementary target, and it is markedly active only on two adjacent nicks in hybridised DNA strands, which makes it selective for nick ligation. |
| Intended Use | Nick ligation in hybridised DNA strands and thermostable ligation workflows |
| Principle / Technology | NAD+-dependent catalysis of phosphodiester bond formation at adjacent nicks in hybridised DNA |
| Sample Type | Hybridised DNA strands with adjacent nicks or complementary 5 prime phosphate and 3 prime hydroxyl pairs |
| Specificity | Significantly active only on two adjacent nicks in hybridised DNA strands; thermostable from 37 to 75°C |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Combine with the NAD+ containing reaction buffer and incubate within the 37 to 75°C active range |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
| Shelf Life | 2 years |
| Package Specifications | 50 T |
| Key Features | Higher ligation efficiency and fidelity than wild-type Taq DNA Ligase; active from 37 to 75°C |
