| Product Name | Heat-Labile Uracil DNA Glycosylase (UDG/UNG) (1 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0558 |
| Description | A heat-labile uracil-DNA glycosylase that catalyses hydrolysis of the N-glycosidic bond between uracil bases and the sugar-phosphate backbone of DNA strands containing uracil, releasing free uracil. Compared with regular UDG, the heat-labile enzyme avoids the residual activity that can degrade dU-containing amplification products at room temperature after inactivation, so carryover contamination control does not threaten the amplified products themselves. The enzyme works at room temperature, is temperature sensitive and easily inactivated by heating at 95°C for 5 to 10 minutes, and it supports contamination prevention in PCR and RT-qPCR workflows as well as removal of uracil bases from single or double stranded DNA. |
| Intended Use | PCR and RT-qPCR carryover and aerosol contamination prevention, and removal of uracil bases from DNA |
| Principle / Technology | Hydrolysis of the N-glycosidic bond of uracil in DNA with rapid heat inactivation at 95°C |
