| Product Name | Heat-Labile Uracil DNA Glycosylase (UDG), Glycerol-Free |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0561 |
| Description | A heat-labile uracil-DNA glycosylase that catalyses hydrolysis of the N-glycosidic bond between uracil bases and the sugar-phosphate backbone of DNA strands containing uracil, releasing free uracil. Compared with regular UDG, the heat-labile character avoids the residual activity that can let a conventional enzyme degrade dU-containing amplification products at room temperature after inactivation. The enzyme works at room temperature, is temperature sensitive and easy to inactivate, and the glycerol-free formulation suits lyophilised reaction systems. |
| Intended Use | Removal of dU-containing PCR product aerosol contamination and of uracil bases from single or double stranded DNA |
| Principle / Technology | Hydrolysis of the N-glycosidic bond of uracil in DNA with heat-labile inactivation behaviour |
| Sample Type | dU-containing carryover products and uracil-containing DNA substrates |
| Specificity | Heat labile and easy to inactivate; active at room temperature; glycerol-free formulation |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Pre-treat the reaction at room temperature to degrade dU carryover, then inactivate by heating before amplification |
| Storage Conditions | 4°C |
| Shelf Life | 1 year |
| Package Specifications | 100 U; 500 U; 5 KU; 10 KU |
| Key Features | Glycerol-free and suited to lyophilised systems; no residual activity threat to dU amplicons |
| Readouts / Downstream Assays | Carryover contamination control verified by qPCR |
For in vitro diagnostic use.
