Description Aerosol-barrier filter tips with integrated hydrophobic polyethylene filter element preventing aerosol and liquid contamination of the pipette shaft. Low-retention surface treatment reduces sample binding to internal surfaces. Sterilized by gamma irradiation.
Intended Use Critical liquid handling for sensitive molecular biology applications including qPCR setup, NGS library preparation, single-cell workflows, and infectious sample processing where cross-contamination must be absolutely prevented.
Principle / Technology Sintered polyethylene filter plug with controlled porosity (approximately 40 um pore size) acts as a physical barrier against aerosol transmission while allowing free air passage. Low-retention polymer surface modification reduces hydrophobic and electrostatic protein adsorption.
