Product Name Fast Restriction Enzyme MnlI (Recognition Site: 5'-CCTCN7↓-3')
Catalog No. IVDRM-0054
Description This fast restriction enzyme is a recombinant endonuclease engineered for speed and precision, delivering complete DNA cleavage in just 5–15 minutes. It is well suited for the rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. Every enzyme in the series works in the same universal digestion buffer, greatly simplifying reaction setup, and provides ample activity headroom to tackle excess substrate or difficult templates with confidence. Fast Restriction Enzyme MnlI recognizes the sequence 5'-CCTCN7↓-3' (3'-GGAGN6↑-5') and is supplied at 5 U/μL. Digestion is performed at 37 °C in a single universal buffer, and the enzyme can be heat-inactivated at 80 °C for 20 minutes. EcoBI methylation may overlap the recognition sequence and block cleavage.
Intended Use For the rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA in molecular cloning and related molecular biology workflows.
Principle / Technology A recombinant type II restriction endonuclease produced by genetic engineering. It recognizes a specific double-stranded DNA sequence and cleaves both strands at defined positions, completing precise digestion within 5–15 minutes.
Sample Type Plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA.
Performance Range / Specifications Complete, precise DNA digestion in 5–15 minutes.
Generous activity overcapacity easily handles excess substrate or difficult templates.
Specificity Specifically recognizes 5'-CCTCN7↓-3' and cleaves seven nucleotides downstream (3'-GGAGN6↑-5' on the complementary strand).
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Recommended reaction conditions: 1× universal fast digestion buffer; incubate at the optimal temperature of 37 °C for 5–15 minutes.
Storage Conditions Store at -20 °C.
Shelf Life 2 years.
Package Specifications 50 T
Concentration 5 U/μL
Source / Origin Recombinant enzyme produced by genetic engineering technology.
Shipping Conditions Shipped with ice packs.
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 2 years when stored at -20 °C.
Recommended Buffer System All fast restriction enzymes in this series share a single universal fast digestion buffer (1×), which streamlines and simplifies the digestion reaction setup.
Application Notes / Precautions The shared universal buffer simplifies the digestion system; the enzyme offers good activity overcapacity for digesting excess substrate or difficult templates.
EcoBI methylation may overlap the recognition sequence and block cleavage.
Heat-inactivate at 80 °C for 20 min when downstream applications require enzyme removal.
Recognition Site 5'-CCTCN7↓-3'
3'-GGAGN6↑-5'
Heat Inactivation Incubate at 80 °C for 20 min.
Methylation Sensitivity EcoBI: the site may overlap the recognition sequence; cleavage may be blocked.
