| Product Name | Fast Restriction Enzyme BglII (Recognition Site: A/GATCT) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0019 |
| Description | Fast Restriction Enzyme BglII is engineered through recombinant technology to deliver precise DNA cleavage in as little as 5–15 minutes. It is well suited for rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. The enzyme shares one universal fast digestion buffer with the whole series, greatly simplifying reaction setup, and its generous activity redundancy makes light work of excess substrate or difficult templates. It recognizes the 5'-A↓GATCT-3' site and shows no star activity under recommended conditions. Supplied at 50 U/μL and stable for 2 years at -20°C. |
| Intended Use | Rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. |
| Principle / Technology | A recombinant fast restriction endonuclease produced by genetic engineering. All fast restriction enzymes in this series share a single universal digestion buffer, simplifying reaction setup for single-, double- and multi-enzyme digests. |
| Sample Type | Plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Completes precise DNA cleavage within 5–15 min. Generous activity excess (activity redundancy) easily handles excess substrate or difficult templates. |
| Specificity | Recognizes and cleaves the specific sequence 5'-A↓GATCT-3' (3'-TCTAG↑A-5'). No star activity under recommended conditions. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | 1× universal fast digestion buffer; incubate at the optimal temperature of 37°C. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -20°C. |
| Shelf Life | 2 years when stored at -20°C. |
| Package Specifications | 100 T (100 reactions) |
| Concentration | 50 U/μL |
| Source / Origin | Recombinant (produced by genetic engineering). |
| Shipping Conditions | Shipped with ice packs. |
| Expiration Date / Stability | Stable for 2 years at -20°C. |
| Recommended Buffer System | A single universal fast digestion buffer is shared across the entire fast restriction enzyme series, streamlining reaction setup and enabling convenient multi-enzyme digests. |
| Application Notes / Precautions | Methylation considerations: EcoBI methylation sites may overlap the recognition sequence and block cleavage. Heat inactivate at 80°C for 20 min when enzyme removal is required. |
| Recognition Site | 5'-A↓GATCT-3' 3'-TCTAG↑A-5' |
| Heat Inactivation | Incubate at 80°C for 20 min. |
| Methylation Sensitivity | EcoBI: the methylation site may overlap the recognition sequence and block cleavage. |
