Product Name Fast Restriction Enzyme AvaII (Recognition Site: G/GWCC)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0011
Description Fast Restriction Enzyme AvaII from Alta DiagnoTech is a recombinant rapid restriction endonuclease engineered for fast, accurate DNA cleavage. It completes digestion within 5-15 minutes and is well suited for plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA and other common substrates. All enzymes in the fast digestion series share a single universal buffer, which greatly simplifies reaction setup. A generous activity redundancy allows the enzyme to handle excess substrate or difficult templates with ease.
Intended Use Rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products and genomic DNA for molecular cloning and related molecular biology workflows.
Principle / Technology Recombinant fast restriction endonuclease produced by genetic engineering; recognizes the specific double-stranded DNA sequence 5'-G/GWCC-3' and cleaves rapidly at 37°C in a universal fast digestion buffer.
Sample Type Plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA
Performance Range / Specifications Complete digestion within 5-15 min
Supplied at 10 U/μL
Good activity redundancy - readily digests excess substrate or difficult templates
Specificity Specifically recognizes 5'-G/GWCC-3'; CpG and Dcm methylation may block cleavage.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol 1× universal fast digestion buffer; incubate at 37°C
Storage Conditions -25°C to -15°C
Shelf Life 2 years
Package Specifications 100 T
Concentration 10 U/μL
Source / Origin Recombinant (produced by genetic engineering technology)
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 2 years when stored at -25°C to -15°C.
Compatibility Isoschizomers: Bme18I, Eco47I
Recommended Buffer System A single universal fast digestion buffer is shared across the entire fast restriction enzyme series, simplifying single- and multi-enzyme digestion setups.
Application Notes / Precautions CpG and Dcm methylation of the recognition site may block cleavage; verify the methylation status of the substrate DNA when digesting mammalian or Dam/Dcm-positive DNA.
Recognition Site 5'-G↓GWCC-3'
3'-CCWG↑G-5'
Heat Inactivation 80°C for 20 min
Methylation Sensitivity CpG, Dcm: cleavage may be blocked
