Product Name Fast Restriction Enzyme ApaI (Recognition Site: GGGCC/C)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0008
Description This enzyme is a fast restriction endonuclease produced by recombinant genetic engineering. It delivers precise DNA cleavage within 5-15 minutes and is well suited for rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. All enzymes in this fast digestion series share one universal buffer, which greatly simplifies the reaction setup, and the enzyme provides generous activity redundancy, allowing effortless digestion of excess substrate or difficult templates.
Intended Use Rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA
Principle / Technology Recombinant fast restriction endonuclease produced by genetic engineering technology; cleaves DNA rapidly and precisely at its specific recognition sequence.
Sample Type Plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA
Performance Range / Specifications Complete and precise DNA digestion within 5-15 minutes
Good activity redundancy - easily handles excess substrate or difficult templates
Specificity Specifically recognizes and cleaves 5'-GGGCC↓C-3'. Dcm and CpG methylation blocks cleavage; Dam, EcoKI and EcoBI methylation has no effect.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol 1× universal fast digestion buffer; optimal incubation at 37°C
Storage Conditions Store at -25°C to -15°C.
Shelf Life 2 years
Package Specifications 200 T
Concentration 20 U/μL
Source / Origin Recombinant (produced by genetic engineering / recombinant expression technology)
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 2 years when stored at -25°C to -15°C.
Compatibility Bsp120I, PspOMI
Recommended Buffer System A single universal fast digestion buffer is shared across the fast restriction enzyme series, simplifying the reaction setup for single, double, or multiple digests.
Application Notes / Precautions Dcm or CpG methylation at the recognition site blocks cleavage; Dam, EcoKI and EcoBI methylation does not affect the reaction. The enzyme can be heat-inactivated at 80°C for 20 min.
Recognition Site 5'-GGGCC↓C-3'
3'-C↑CCGGG-5'
Heat Inactivation 80°C for 20 min
Methylation Sensitivity Dcm, CpG: cleavage blocked
Dam, EcoKI, EcoBI: no effect
