Description Fast-growing chemically competent cloning cells developed for rapid transformation and accelerated colony recovery.
Intended Use Rapid transformation of ampicillin-resistant plasmids and ligation products; routine plasmid cloning and propagation.
Principle / Technology Chemically competent cells take up exogenous plasmid DNA after a standard transformation treatment and recover rapidly on selective medium.
Sample Type Plasmid DNA and ligation products.
Performance Range / Specifications Colonies become visible after 8–9 hours on ampicillin plates. Overnight single colonies grown in 2 mL LB can be used for miniprep after 4–5 hours of culture. A five-minute rapid transformation workflow is supported for ampicillin-resistant plasmids and ligation products.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol For compatible ampicillin-resistant plasmids or ligation products, use the rapid five-minute transformation workflow described in the protocol.
Components / Formulation Aliquoted chemically competent Escherichia coli cell suspension.
Storage Conditions Store at −70°C. Do not store at −20°C or in liquid nitrogen.
