| Product Name | Endonuclease III (Nth) (10 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0570 |
| Description | A bifunctional DNA damage repair enzyme cloned from the nth gene of E. coli, Endonuclease III combines N-glycosylase activity that recognises and excises damaged pyrimidine bases from double stranded DNA to create AP sites, with AP lyase activity that cuts on the 3 prime side of the AP site to give a nick carrying a 5 prime phosphate and a 3 prime open-ring sugar. The enzyme specifically recognises and excises oxidative pyrimidine lesions including urea, 5,6-dihydroxythymine, thymine glycol, 5-hydroxy-5-methylhydantoin, uracil glycol, 6-hydroxy-5,6-dihydrothymine and methyltartronylurea, which supports base excision repair research and in vitro DNA damage repair studies. One unit cuts 1 pmol of a 34 bp oligonucleotide duplex carrying one AP site in one hour at 37°C |
