| Product Name | E. coli Poly(A) Polymerase for RNA 3′ Tailing (5 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0366 |
| Description | E. coli poly(A) polymerase, also known as PolyA tailing enzyme, catalyses the template-independent addition of AMP derived from ATP to the 3 end of single-stranded RNA, forming a Poly(A) tail. The reaction uses ATP specifically; dATP is not accepted, CTP and UTP incorporation is below 5% of ATP, and GTP is not incorporated. RNA tailing based on this enzyme has been applied to microbial single-cell sequencing, mRNA in vitro synthesis and miRNA expression analysis. |
| Intended Use | Poly(A) tailing of RNA 3 ends; reverse transcription of tailed RNA; 3 end labelling of RNA; miRNA quantification; mRNA in vitro synthesis; microbial single-cell sequencing |
| Principle / Technology | Template-independent addition of AMP from ATP to the 3 hydroxyl of single-stranded RNA |
| Detection Method | Single-stranded RNA substrates |
