| Product Name | dUTP Solution (100 mM) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0178 |
| Description | dUTP (2'-deoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate) is commonly used in place of dTTP in PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR and RT-qPCR, so that the resulting amplicons contain uracil. When uracil-N-glycosylase (UNG, also known as UDG) is included in the amplification system, uracil residues in any carryover contaminating amplicons are excised, preventing false-positive results. This product is supplied as a ready-to-use sodium salt solution prepared with ultrapure water and adjusted to pH 7.0 with high-purity NaOH, at a concentration of 100 mM. dUTP purity is ≥99% by HPLC, and the solution is tested free of DNase and RNase contamination, so it can be used directly in PCR and other routine molecular biology reactions. English synonym: 2'-Deoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate, sodium salt solution CAS NO.: 102814-08-4 |
| Intended Use | Used as a dTTP substitute in PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR and RT-qPCR to generate uracil-containing amplicons, enabling UDG/UNG-based carryover contamination control to prevent false-positive results. |
| Principle / Technology | Replacing dTTP with dUTP produces uracil-containing amplification products. Uracil-N-glycosylase (UNG/UDG) added to the reaction excises uracil from any contaminating carryover amplicons before amplification, destroying them and thereby eliminating false positives from previous reactions. |
