| Product Name | DpnI Rapid Restriction Endonuclease (20 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0406 |
| Description | Unlike ordinary restriction enzymes, this rapid recombinant endonuclease targets only methylated 5 prime GAm6^TC 3 prime, the N6-methyladenine modified form of the GATC sequence produced by Dam methyltransferase in most Escherichia coli strains. This selectivity makes it the standard tool for digesting away parental methylated plasmid template after site directed mutagenesis or plasmid construction, leaving unmethylated newly synthesised DNA intact. It completes digestion in 5 to 15 minutes at 37°C, is supplied at 20 U/uL, runs in the shared rapid series buffer, and is heat inactivated at 80°C for 20 minutes. EcoBI methylation may influence cleavage at overlapping sequences. This unit stores at -20°C and ships with ice packs. |
