Product Name DNA Polymerase I (10 U/uL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0329
Description DNA polymerase I synthesises DNA complementary to a DNA or RNA template in the 5-prime to 3-prime direction while carrying dual exonuclease activities: a double-strand-specific 5-prime to 3-prime activity and a single-strand-specific 3-prime to 5-prime activity. With an approximate molecular weight of 109,000, the enzyme drives nick translation for probe labelling, supports second-strand cDNA synthesis alongside RNase H in sequencing workflows, and labels 3-prime DNA ends.
Intended Use Nick translation for probe labelling; second-strand cDNA synthesis in RNA library workflows; 3-prime end labelling of DNA.
Principle / Technology Template-directed 5-prime to 3-prime synthesis paired with dual-direction exonuclease processing supports translation and labelling reactions.
