Description A 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium and Ham's F12 nutrient mixture, combining the rich nutrient profile of DMEM with the broad supplement range of F12 for serum-reduced culture of diverse cell types.
Intended Use Culture of primary cells, stem cells, and cell lines under reduced serum conditions; commonly used as the basal medium for serum-free formulations and specialized cell types including prostate epithelium, mammary epithelium, and pancreatic cells.
Principle / Technology DMEM provides high concentrations of amino acids, vitamins, and glucose; Ham's F12 supplements trace elements, putrescine, linoleic acid, and additional vitamins; the combination supports cells with complex nutritional requirements.
