Description	Alta DiagnoTech DMAE-NHS is an acridinium ester for direct chemiluminescent immunoassays. In alkaline medium, oxidation by H2O2 proceeds through a dioxetanone intermediate to form electronically excited N-methylacridone, which emits a photon at 430 nm as it returns to the ground state. The reagent has a molecular weight of 594.589 and a molecular formula of C29H26N2O10S.
Intended Use	Chemiluminescence and immunoassay research, receptor assays, nucleic acid and peptide detection, and catalyst-free detection of antigens, antibodies and proteins.
Principle / Technology	Catalyst-free direct chemiluminescence through alkaline H2O2 oxidation, a dioxetanone intermediate and photon emission from excited N-methylacridone.
