Product Name Disposable Serological Pipette, 5 mL, Sterile, Individually Wrapped
Catalog No. IGM-HMM-0056
Description Sterile disposable 5 mL polystyrene serological pipette with color-coded graduation markings and anti-drip tip design. Individually wrapped in medical-grade paper-plastic peel pouch for aseptic presentation. Negative graduations for reverse pipetting.
Intended Use Accurate volumetric transfer of cell culture media, buffers, and biological fluids in tissue culture, microbiology, and clinical laboratory settings using standard pipette controllers.
Principle / Technology Calibrated to deliver (TD) at blow-out volume. Transparent polystyrene barrel with bold bidirectional graduations. Plugged tip orifice with hydrophobic filter prevents overfill and contamination of pipetting aid. Anti-drip tip minimizes droplet retention after dispensing.
Detection Method Volume accuracy gravimetric per ISO 12771; sterility to ISO 11137; graduations accuracy verified with calibrated micropipette comparison
Sample Type Cell culture media, trypsin-EDTA solutions, buffer reagents, serum supplements, bacterial inocula, clinical body fluids
Performance Range / Specifications Volume accuracy +/- 1.0% at 5 mL; graduation resolution 0.1 mL; total length approximately 340 mm; dip tube outer diameter approximately 9 mm
Sensitivity / LOD Endotoxin <0.1 EU/pipette; cytotoxicity negative (USP <87>); no detectable leachable cytotoxins
Specificity Free of DNase, RNase, human DNA; no PCR inhibitors detected; non-hemolytic by direct contact assay
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Open peel pouch from sterile end; attach pipette to pipette controller; aspirate desired volume; dispense with blow-out for total delivery; discard pipette after single use.
Components / Formulation Crystal-grade transparent polystyrene barrel, hydrophobic cotton or synthetic fiber filter plug, paper-plastic medical-grade peel pouch packaging
Storage Conditions 15-30 C; store flat in original box to prevent warping; protect from humidity
Shelf Life 60 months from sterilization date
Package Specifications 50 pipettes individually wrapped per box; 200 pipettes per case (4 boxes); bulk 200 wrapped pipettes per dispenser box
Product Form 5 mL serological pipette, individually wrapped, sterile, polystyrene, color-coded blue
Quality Control Volume accuracy by gravimetric testing; sterility assurance per ISO 11137; graduations print quality inspection; filter presence and position verification; batch release endotoxin and cytotoxicity
Key Features Individually wrapped for aseptic handling; color-coded for rapid volume identification; bidirectional graduations; anti-drip tip; plugged for contamination prevention; DNase/RNase-free
Purity Sterile (SAL 10^-6); DNase/RNase-free; non-cytotoxic; non-pyrogenic; endotoxin certified

Source / Origin Crystal-grade polystyrene; manufactured in ISO Class 7 cleanroom under ISO 13485; gamma sterilized per ISO 11137
pH Range / Optimal pH Polystyrene inert at pH 2-10; limited resistance to organic solvents; not suitable for strong acids or oxidizing agents
Shipping Conditions Ambient temperature; pipettes packed horizontally in crush-resistant boxes; individual wrap protects sterility
Expiration Date / Stability 5 years from sterilization date; sterility maintained while individual wrap integrity is preserved
Regulatory / Compliance ISO 13485:2016; ISO 12771 accuracy standard; CE IVD marked; USP <661> and <87> compliant; ISO 11137 sterilized
Compatibility Compatible with standard pipette controllers and pipetting aids (Drummond, Integra, Brand, Gilson, Eppendorf); fits 5 mL pipette holding position in pipette aids; compatible with all standard tissue culture and clinical laboratory fluids
Recommended Buffer System Compatible with all cell culture media (DMEM, RPMI, MEM, etc.), PBS, trypsin, and standard laboratory buffer systems; avoid prolonged contact with DMSO >5%
Application Notes / Precautions Use within biosafety cabinet after opening individual wrap to maintain sterility; do not touch pipette tip to non-sterile surfaces; control plunger speed for smooth dispensing without splashing; discard immediately after single use to prevent cross-contamination
Batch-to-Batch Consistency Volume calibration verified on statistical sample per ISO 2859-1 AQL 1.0; graduation print placement within +/- 1 mm; tip orifice diameter controlled to +/- 0.3 mm
