Description Uniform 1 µm polymer magnetic beads containing superparamagnetic particles and a hydrophilic outer layer that limits exposed iron oxide and reduces background interference in luminescent assays.
Intended Use Chemiluminescent immunoassays, molecular capture, immunodetection, biomolecule separation and purification.
Principle / Technology A high magnetic-particle content provides rapid magnetic collection, while the hydrophilic polymer shell reduces surface iron exposure and nonspecific background. Carboxyl, streptavidin and tosyl surface chemistries support different coupling strategies.
Detection Method Chemiluminescence and magnetic separation.
Performance Range / Specifications Carboxyl beads: 1.0 µm, approximately 35% magnetic material, 5% solids. Streptavidin beads: 1.0 µm, approximately 35% magnetic material, 1% solids. Tosyl beads: 1.0 µm, approximately 35% magnetic material, 5% solids.
Components / Formulation Polymer microsphere matrix, superparamagnetic particles and a hydrophilic surface layer with carboxyl, streptavidin or tosyl functionality.
Storage Conditions Store at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
Shelf Life 3 years when stored as directed.
Package Specifications 1 mL; 10 mL; 50 mL; 100 mL, depending on surface chemistry.
