| Product Name | Bsu DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment, for RPA (5 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0565 |
| Description | Derived from Bacillus subtilis, this large fragment retains the 5 prime to 3 prime polymerase activity of Bsu DNA polymerase I while lacking the 5 prime to 3 prime exonuclease domain, and the fragment itself has no 3 prime to 5 prime exonuclease activity either. The resulting strand-displacing polymerase drives recombinase polymerase amplification, an isothermal DNA amplification technology widely applied to animal disease and pathogen detection. Because the enzyme does not produce flush ends it is used within amplification workflows rather than for end repair. Heat inactivation is achieved at 75°C for 20 minutes. |
| Intended Use | Recombinase polymerase amplification for animal disease and pathogen detection |
| Principle / Technology | 5 prime to 3 prime DNA synthesis with strand displacement and no exonuclease activities |
| Sample Type | DNA templates in RPA isothermal amplification reactions |
| Specificity | Strand displacement active; both 5 prime to 3 prime and 3 prime to 5 prime exonuclease activities absent; not suited to end repair |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Combine with recombinase and auxiliary proteins in the RPA reaction and inactivate at 75°C for 20 minutes |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
| Shelf Life | 2 years |
