Product Name BspEI Restriction Endonuclease (10 U/uL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0596
Description A type IIP restriction enzyme from Bacillus and purified after recombinant expression in E. coli, BspEI recognises and cuts the TCCGGA sequence, producing a four base 5 prime cohesive overhang. It is supplied at 10 U/uL and runs in the dedicated Cut Buffer C at 37°C, with heat inactivation at 80°C for 20 minutes, and it is not compatible with the general rapid digestion buffer. Dam methylation blocks cleavage, CpG methylation reduces it, and Dcm, EcoKI and EcoBI methylation have no effect. One unit completely digests 1 microgram of Dam-minus lambda DNA in a 50 uL reaction in one hour at 37°C.
Intended Use Restriction digestion ahead of DNA fragment cloning
Principle / Technology Cleavage of the TCCGGA site to produce a four base 5 prime cohesive overhang
