| Product Name | BsmBI v2 Rapid Restriction Endonuclease (10 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0400 |
| Description | The v2 engineered form of BsmBI recognises 5 prime CGTCTC(N)1^ 3 prime and cleaves one base outside the asymmetric site, enabling custom overhang design for assembly cloning. It rapidly cuts plasmid DNA, PCR products and genomic DNA in 5 to 15 minutes, is supplied at 10 U/uL, and runs in the common rapid series buffer at 37°C with heat inactivation at 80°C for 20 minutes. CpG methylation overlapping the site blocks cleavage and EcoBI methylation influences it, while Esp3I is the canonical isoschizomer. |
| Intended Use | Rapid DNA cleavage with distal cutting for assembly cloning and difficult template digestion |
| Principle / Technology | Site specific cleavage one base outside 5 prime CGTCTC(N)1 3 prime within 5 to 15 minutes at 37°C |
| Specificity | CpG methylation blocks cleavage; EcoBI methylation affects cleavage; isoschizomer Esp3I |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Digest in 1x rapid restriction buffer at 37°C for 5 to 15 minutes; heat inactivate at 80°C for 20 minutes |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
